Ghostbusters Review

(It covers all two movies)

With Halloween not far it's time to review a horror comedy from 1985 to 1989 sequel. Egon, Ray and Peter were paranormal psychologists while working; on campus in New York specializing in revealing the supernatural truth about ghosts and other apparitions, they were thrown off campus because of their bogus hypothesis about the super natural. Earlier on when they are in the New York Public library; they encounter their first ghost in the library basement;  that ghost scared the poor librarian into hysteria so they call them to take care of it quietly. They tried to catch it but the ghost drive them out by spooking them. After that encounter, they decided to become supernatural extermination specialists aka "Ghostbusters". They found a firehouse to turn into a office and they got equipment specializing on catching ghosts. They also turn a police car into their famous car Ecto 1. That evening they got their first call about a haunt on the 12th floor of the Sedgework Hotel. That haunt is a green and slimy ghost that can eat anything. That is the first test they passed by catching the ghost, with damage done to the ball room and the 12th floor.

Ghosts started to appear on the top of Dana Barrett's apartment. Dana had evidence that a Sumerian demi god is living in her refrigerator. When she looked in, she saw a supernatural dimension with demon dogs guarding it; one of the dogs called her Zuul. After that incident she went to the ghostbusters office to get some service about Gozer. At first they were not sure about Gozer but they knew something big is about to happen, so they went to work to get some info. Dana did found out from Peter that Zuul is minion of Gozer, she is convinced that a demon is living in her apartment; she was captured by Zuul demon dog possessing her to become one of them. Egon, Ray and Peter needed more help so they hired Winston Zeddmore to be the fourth ghostbuster. Mean while; Lewis Tully the nerdy neighbor from Dana's apartment is also possessed by Vince Carlotho another demon dog. Dana is the gate keeper and Lewis is the Key master. Ghostbusters are also facing extermination by the EPA named Pek.  He shut off the electric gird thus releasing all the ghosts they captured. For that he was kicked out by the mayor.

Vince finally found Zuul in her apartment and they both went to the roof where the final competition will take place. The ghostbusters arrived at the apartment and they saw dark skies with demonic lightning, a freak earthquake shook them up as well as the crowd. When they got to the roof, both Lewis and Dana were opening the gate to the supernatural thus releasing Gozer from it's demison. They were turned back into demon dogs, they growled at the Ghostbusters. They finally were face to face with Gozer in a woman form. At the first stream Gozer leaped over them and disappeared to appear as the first traveler; the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. They tired to melt him but did not work. Egon finally realized the only way to seal off the gate is to break the rule of crossing the streams; they both combined their streams causing the dimension to blow up and the Stay Puft melted as well on top of the crowd. The ghostbusters are finally hero's of the supernatural.

Five years after their encounter with Gozer; the Ghostbusters are being sued from the damages of the apartment building and the hotel. So they went to find separate jobs, but the supernatural survived and this time a demon from Carpathian Vigo is on display at the Art Museum and there is slime underneath the street starting to create more ghosts by the boatload. The mayor is responsible for firing the Ghostbusters since after 5 years with Gozer. Their licence is revoked so the Ghostbusters had their job back and this time Vigo wanted a baby to possess. The Ghostbusters ended his reign of terror by sending him back to the art picture.

Jurassic Park Review

(This review covers all three movies)

To began Jurassic Park is secretly under construction by John Hammond and IGen on a remote island called Isla Nublar; there were problems by moving the velicoraptors at the beginning; one person was killed while the other guy was trying to save him but failed. Back in the Mexican area; an excavation was happening looking for lost evidence of the dinosaur era; a lawyer named Donald had a connection with one of the men; they both stumbled into a mine were the digging was happening; they found a piece of amber with a bug inside containing dinosaur blood. Now John Hammond is starting to get experts together to see the park itself before opening the park to the public. He hired paleontologists, math expert, and a plant expert of extinct plants. He also brought his kids and his lawyer to back him up. At first everything is going smoothly but a fat sloth named Dennis ruined everything; he turned off the power releasing the dinosaurs from their containment. To make matters worse; some dinosaurs were predators including the T-Rex, the raptors, spitters and compys. People were being killed big time including the lawyer, a computer expert and a dinosaur hunter. Dennis got killed also in the action, kudos to the spitter. A tropical storm also ravaged the island, all the experts evacuated the island even the kids. The park never opened. It was abandoned.

After the events from the first movie; another island called Isla Sorna has a different story than the first island. Isla Nublar was no more; but somehow the dinosaurs had survived the tropical storm; Isla Sorna is site B, where all the dinosaurs were first created. This time; there is no containment system to keep them; the dinosaurs can now have the whole island to themselves. John Hammond has a evil brother named Ludlow; so Ludlow took over IGen forcing Hammond to retire from his position. He consulted to Malcolm, Malcolm has a broken leg from his last encounter with the T Rex from the first movie. He still remember the mistakes that Hammond made last time; this time he is planning a documentary team to document the dinosaurs on Isla Sorna. Malcolm's girl friend is on the team; so Malcolm decided to form a rescue team instead. Eddie Carr, Nick van Owen and his daughter unexpectedly hid in the trailer to join them. Nick, Eddie and Malcolm found her on the island documenting the Stegosaurus at that time. Ludlow had one intention instead of making another faculty; he wanted to ship the dinosaurs to the main land. He organized a hunting party to hunt for dinosaurs. He got more than he bargain for; he shipped a T- Rex to New York with the infant; he got eaten for his evil ways.

The island is now considered a hazard and was heavily guarded by the Costa Rica government. Two dare devils were parchutting near the island when the craft was covered in fog; the two men in the boat were dino food without the passengers in the boat. They were in the air. Alan Grant has been doinging more dinosaur research on the intelligence of the raptors. His experience with dinosaurs has been covered since the Jurassic Park accident. He was fooled by a furniture expert and his ex wife to go back to Isla Sorna to look for his son.

Jaws Review

(This review covers the whole Jaws Trilogy)

We began on the first Jaws movie; Amity Island is a peaceful island and a summer tourist attraction every summer. The season immediately became dangerous to all beach people that wanted to beat the heat of the season. The character of Chief Brody was introduced as a police man on the island, he is not a beach fan since he came from New York and he hates boats and he avoids the water. He seen danger in New York but not on a island like Amity. In the pre dawn morning; a summer party was raveling, drinking and smoking is involved. A young lady named Chrissy decided to ditch the party and went swimming with no one around, expect one guy that fainted on the beach from being drunk. She went too far so she trended water, she does not know there is a shark in the water. She became a victim to the shark. Later her body was discovered all mangled up on the beach. The chief took action and closed the beach without the mayors permission. The mayor wants to leave the beach open for the fourth of July and they need summer dollars, he is only ringing the dinner bell to other beach goers. The next victim is a young boy on a yellow rubber raft, and a fisher man. His son Michael saw the fisher man got pulled under, he was in shock. The Chief had enough and hired Quint to kill the shark and he went along with Hooper to hunt for the shark. They both found it and action ensued, Quint got eaten making him the fourth victim. The shark died by explosion of the scuba tank, ending his reign of terror. It did not end there, years later on the second jaws, both scuba divers were attacked by the same shark, the Orca was discovered in ruins in depths of the ocean. Brody was still chief of police than. His sons were growing up. After his shocking experience with the shark years back, Michael is obsessed with sailing and having a good time with chicks. Shawn is also growing and went sailing with him. The shark keeps appearing and kills a water skier and smashed a boat to pieces with a lady in it. It's summer as usual. Another scuba driver was almost attacked but was saved by his tank. A couple of teenagers on the sailing party was also attacked by the same shark even Shawn had a encounter with the shark, changing his mind about the water later on. Just like last time, Brody ended the sharks reign of terror by shoving a electrical wire into his month. In the third movie; Brody is not there anymore, maybe he moved to New York who knows? He does hate the water. His sons were in the Spot light, Michael fell in love with a Sea World employee; he too works at Sea World. and Shawn became a cow boy. He fell in love with a Sea World entertainer. One unexpected baby shark became a guest to Sea World that started to Chase Michael and his girl friend. Michael still remembers what happened years ago so did Shawn. Unfortunately the baby shark died, and his massive mother became a reign of terror attacking everybody, she died by grenade explosion inside her. In the last movie; the shark had a personal vendetta to the Brody family. Shawn became a victim of the shark attack when the shark chomped off his arm while doing his job; when his father passed him the job as police officer; before his father died from the fear of the shark. Since Chief Brody pulled the trigger on him, the shark hatted the Brody Family so he went to get personal revenge on the family. His mother is a widow and was grief stricken over the death of her husband and her son so she and the rest of the Family went to the Bahamas. She cannot get over her nightmares on the shark. Her other son Michael is a marine Biologist studding clams with his friend Jake. Michael is a married man now and they had a daughter named Thea. Michael had closed brush's with the shark but he wanted to keep them a secret from his mother to avoid what will happen if he tells her the awful truth. Her nightmare of the past returned when the shark attacked a lady off the Banana boat with her daughter on the boat. She suffered a shock. The mother had enough nightmares of that marauding shark attacking her son and her daughters shocked face. She went to end it all on her personal vendetta to end the nightmare once and for all. His son, Jake and Hoagie the pilot who fell in love with her went to find her. They both ended involved with the action, Jake was pulled under water by the shark but survived the ordeal. Hoagie's plane was chomped by the shark, but hoagie was really lucky. Michael got a shocker to shock the shark out of the water. That worked all to well, the shark was impaled by the bow of the ship and sunked with the ship marking the end of his terror and the trilogy.
